I’m 24 today! What are your best life tips for someone in their mid 20s? 🥳🎂
Enjoy them. I lived dangerously during my 20s and I would gladly do it again. All I can say remember to learn from old timers as they were once in their twenties!
You’re going to get into your 30s and think how dumb you were in your 20s, it’ll happen every decade, so just live your mid 20s.
Worth taking risks to get closer to doing things we’re (more) excited about, applies equally to personal and professional Happy birthday!!!
Start picking up healthy habits now, your 30s will thank you.
i hope you have a wonderful birthday today 🥂 contrarian advice: have kids early. my parents were 21 when they had me. now they're empty nesters in their 50s living it up, traveling the world, having an awesome life, coming to visit and play with their grandkids. not for everyone, ofc. but worth considering
happy bday! - take risks - take care of your physical self - take care of your mental self
hbd! invest in relationships optimize for the best story learn from everyone, listen to yourself
happy birthday!! Life happens quick so remember to spend time with the people you care about most 🖤
Of course your birthday is 4/20 You are already wise and know how to have fun, you give us the tips. Happy birthday! 🥰
Happy birthday, Sam! Hope you have a good one! I miss my 20s. Best time of my life.
Don’t rush into long-term commitments…it’s ok to slowly figure who you are, what you want to do, and who you want to share your time with
Write down you dreams and see them through....DREAM BIG. Happy Birthday!!!
Become the person that you're proud to be👇 (if you're not already :) "In most of us, by the age of thirty, the character [ie, 'neuroplasticity'] has set like plaster, and will never soften again." -William James (1890) https://www.oxfordreference.com/display/10.1093/acref/9780191866692.001.0001/q-oro-ed6-00005861
Start a habit of investing, even just a little bit. Long term boring stuff, not just crypto.
Happy birthday and welcome to the 24 yo club 😄 I recommend taking a look at rapamycin. Starting rapamycin therapy early in life may give the best long-term anti-aging results. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9648808/#:~:text=Rapamycin%20will%20prevent%20organ%20failure,25%20(just%20an%20example).
Oh m, also, remember on your 24th Birthday a rocket launched off earth, blew up, everyone cheered, starting our movement to Mars. You’re birthday set off an entire migration of humanity to a different planet. On. Your. Birthday.
Happy birthday! Everything everyone has said AND take care of your knees 😬
Hbd :) Remember it all passes, the good and the bad. So enjoy the good times deeply and know that the difficult will fade with time.
Happy happy birthday! Travel often, and listen to yourself. Try your damnedest not to self-abandon for anyone/anything. Believe people when they show you who they are. Center joy and what energizes you. 🤍
Enjoy yourself, prepare for the future but stay in the moment, be flexible, keep loose from ties, play the long game and only do things that resonate with your principles
Happy Birthday! 🥳 hmm, good advice…I guess i only have one advice from now on lol: live in the moment and don’t take life so seriously
start investing now, optimize taxes, use tax free savings accounts: goodreads.com/en/book/show/59046778 but also enjoy your 20s!
Follow your passions even if they seem fruitless and like they will never be profitable. I’m 51 and if I had followed comics, D&D, video games, computer programming and other things I was told were a waste of time I would have found more success and satisfaction.
Hbd! Stop worrying so much. Put in the work and let the rest ride. It'll all work out as it's supposed to. Avoid the temptation to try and climb the corporate ladder as fast as possible.
take more photos ever since I've had my kids I take photos all the time and it's awesome, I love seeing how they grew up through pictures and videos but it also makes me realize I didn't take nearly enough photos to document my own life you'll always want ways to look back and remember things more clearly
Optimize to try things you know will be hard to do later in life (e.g. live in a foreign country). Take chances. Learn every day (it compounds like crazy)
Happy Birthday Sam!! My tip: trust yourself. In your mid/late 20, your friends begin to divide into groups. Some start families, some travel the world, some disappear into their jobs, etc. Do not compare—for better or worse. Your life has its own journey. Don’t waste it mimicking someone else. Trust yourself.
Happiest b-day, Sam 🎉 I’m turning 40 in a few weeks. My best piece of advice for you is not to waste your 20s on mindless partying or chasing an egocentric, hedonistic lifestyle. Don’t take drugs. Take care of your health. Build long-lasting relationships. Get married ❤️
Also thought of another one! Skip all the noise of skin care routines. Wash your face with your body wash and then use a nice moisturizer!! My skin improved so much after switching and I wish I’d known that so much earlier.
Happy birthday! Recommend exploring and doing activities that are less feasible as you get older and take on more commitments and responsibilities
study more and travel, don't think about saving money.. be happy and enjoy your life
wooo happy birthday!!! 24 was one of my favorite ages :D just live for yourself, explore, don't get tied down, and let life take you for a wild ride :)
enjoy it!! experience as much as you can. Always take the meeting, start to figure out who you enjoy spending your time around and who is draining you. Learn to take care of you!
If you ever think to yourself… I’m getting old…I can’t do that…. I’m not strong enough… I’m not good enough … I’m not attractive enough — FULL STOP. You will never be this young again. Age weighs us down, but our thoughts are the drag that keeps us from reaching our potential.
“The only failure in your twenties is inaction. The rest is trial and error” - Anonymous I would add to follow what’s fun, but that’s pretty much it!
Backpack through Asia! Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and especially Indonesia
Bless! • Live life on the edge, take risks, go wild (re: experiences, dating, career etc) • Be financially prudent - play the long game - pensions, savings, negotiating pay/offers & asking for more etc • Don’t fuck up specifically legally/in a major way) 🥶 • Friendships will change/shift. Embrace this!
You can read all the wise advice here but the true wisdom (and the way our nervous system learns) is acquired from experience. Go live your life fully. Follow your heart.
Something I started doing in my 20s is starting the day by being grateful to see another day.
HBD! You have the energy & enthusiasm, just make sure you're using it to head in the direction that builds your long term happiness, ie try to be directionally correct.
