A jade plant, a snake plant, and two other succulents of unknown providence that I acquired over the years.
My life is so unexciting that I’ve been reduced to taking pictures of my pizza.
A succulent I thought I’d killed over the winter slowly returns from the dead.
Try a personal experiment/challenge right now: One photo every day with minimal post-processing. My life is not that exciting, so expect this to be fairly repetitive. But hopefully there’s a general improvement in composition, etc. over the coming months. Today: The Anthem Building from 8th & Broadway.
Okay, finally watched the “Dungeons & Dragons” movie. Nothing has the right to be at once be so completely unserious and so painfully sincere. It’s very good, though I’d be hard-pressed to understand why.
So long purple checkmark. 😢 At least I learned a little bit more about NFTs and smart contracts! https://warpcast.com/dwr/0x9ac061
Have rewatched: - Escaflowne - Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 - Serial Experiments Lain - Cowboy Bebop - Firefly - Invader Zim - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Star Trek (in progress) Want to rewatch at sometime: - The Expanse - Flying Witch - Futurama - Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency - Mr. Robot
I took that last night on the road between Glenwood Springs and Aspen (Colorado). Looking at the GPS, looks like this was a little south of Carbondale.
I actually took a video as well, and at one point referenced that (in)famous YouTube clip. :-)
Sometimes you’re on the road and you get the chance to see something extraordinary.
https://kagi.com if you’re willing to pay for search (it’s $5/month). They’re working on an interesting macOS/iOS browser too at https://browser.kagi.com. Otherwise, DDG like everyone else says. :-)
@kc wrote a good comparison of the Farcaster and AT (Bluesky) protocols a while back: https://paragraph.xyz/@kc/atproto-vs-farcaster
2. Neutral - if and only if there was a configuration option to make the “following” feed the default. 4. Mad - otherwise. I understand the importance of discovery, but I follow people for a reason and a chronological feed is a key affordance that lets me guage when I’ve “caught up” with things.
Given that Light Wallet seems to be dead, is there a wallet that people recommend that works with Safari? I’ve only found two options: 1. Tokenary (supports ETH and SOL, supports macOS, maybe no longer developed either?) 2. Dawn (ETH and iOS only, recent updates, but don’t know anything about the developers…)
The Google Calendar thing is really the key lock-in point. If I can ever get my better half to ditch Google Calendar for iCloud’s calendaring, I’ll be in iCloud so fast… The Google Docs/Sheets/Slides collab features are good, but I’ve been surprised how little they get used outside of Google-centric shops.
2 - 3 hours, though I’m trying (without much success, so far) to cut that down
Interesting Twitter activity on my feed has taken a decisive dip this week. At this point, I basically just log in for the “This Terran Trade Authority ship does not exist” bot.
There is something I can’t quite put my finger on that is starting to bother me about Bluesky… I’m not sure if it’s some characteristic of the population that’s adopted it so far, a particular set of app or protocol design choices, or what. But I’m starting to get Mastodon vibes there.
You *don’t* want a significant UI for this. Probably just some kind of personal address book (with sections for explicitly added vs. implicitly added identities) + a way to discover and subscribe to community reputation lists. Everything else should be backgrounded and handled algorithmically at the app/local level.
