at what point do you declare tab bankruptcy?

I use a tab closer that just automatically closes my tabs if i don't touch them in an hour. Probably once a day I realize something is missing but it's pretty useful to keep my tabs sane.
i just nuke it when i have another window with infinite tabs. one chaos cluster at a time is enuff for me
Some tab limiter is nice, but I think no more than 8-10 tab is healthy.
I remember trying Arc but fell back to chrome. Should I try again?
Every week or so I try to prune -- organize tabs (move them around), save reading links to a To-Read list I keep, move other tabs to todo or close
I wouldn’t say I liked arc too much, but my preference is between readable titles and icons only.. during active work I use “close to right” close right is bettered by tab management, but the root problem of attention management/extraction is browser or OS level imo
To think about those open tabs is just too much cognitive overload for me. I just let my mac decide. You know when it says sw update and restart, I just allow it to get purged then.
Chrome has a feature to group tabs that is not well known - if you ever use that browser
I use OneTab in Brave and zero out tabs a few times per week. On Sunday, I give myself 1-2 hours to dig through the week's list of tabs and read what captures my attention. I treat it like product backlog. Some stuff matters a lot but most doesn't. If it's really important, it will come back.
anytime the word bankruptcy is used I can’t help but think of Michael Scott in The Office yelling… “I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY!”
Use ARC. Yes yes I know, you already said it, but still, just use ARC.
4. Tabs are so squeezed they no longer fit in the window. Open a new window, rinse, and repeat.
I can't focus when I have more than 3 tabs open. Typically I try to get to 1.
