Agreed on both points (framing & crypto take) Really love the analysis of the cycle and the thorough examples used. Is this just an inherent flaw of ad-driven revenue models + capitalism? Is this solved if the revenue model is customer subscription?

Look at either Seveneves or Fall, both by Neal Stephenson. I often give them as gifts. Or, if you're really looking for a commitment, dig into the Revelation Space universe by Alastair Reynolds. It'll change your life. ;)
Adrian Tchaikovsky is awesome. The Children of Time series is one of the most insanely creative premises I’ve read in years. Highly recommend.
Would be great if we had to specify a value that determined the frequency/strength of conflicting opinions in our algorithmic feeds. It would force a conscious choice of “full echo chamber” for those that prefer it, or allow others to choose more diversity of opinion.

Yep. And, I think we should expect Apple will change on this more. History shows they do, but always slowly. ex. 3rd party maps in Carplay (Waze) or Find My network opening to 3rd parties.
