biometrics are identifiers not authenticators but most employ them for security. imo anything that increases the value of biometrics is super dangerous if it’s used wisely I have no issue but by the time it’s wise it’s not very smart or useful
As in worldcoin? I think there are nuances about what is stored - I think they told me that they store a hash of your iris data and protect the hashing algo very closely. But it seems to me that the hashing algo security is hard to guarantee - and if that leaks then it could be somewhat problematic
How do you know if they won't zap you blind? What if it's a 'scan your iris to remove cataract & receive crypto'?
