What’s an overrated leadership quality? An underrated one?
Authority, control, supervision, direction overrated. Catalyst, stimulant, adjuvant, and agitator underrated
1. Overrated - being over 6ft (eg, Trump) 2. Underrated - being 6ft under (eg, Satoshi)
Overrated: completely agree that it’s consensus building Underrated: emotional intelligence (by far)
Overrated: building an audience outside of your area of responsibility. Doesn't matter what Twitter thinks if your team thinks you're an incompetent dumbass. Underrated: Ability to listen. Longform writing ability.
Love this question. Decisiveness! While the ability to make decisions fast is indeed critical to great leadership, that only works is the decisions are well made. Sooooo many leaders are decisive but arbitrary

A couple of underrated leadership qualities: embodiment, or setting the example - embodying the standards and values you want in your org. The other one: “Socratic” leadership - leading through a patient Socratic method of asking questions & dialoguing through answers to maximize buy-in.
