As a leader, you want to find the sweet spot between artificial harmony (everyone gets along) and destructive directness (no filter). The ideal is the middle: We’re a direct AND respectful team. Teams that don’t say the hard things, or make it personal, quick β€” they probably won’t ship well or last v long.

What is /coaching? I'd say two key parts: 1) Conversations that help provoke AWARENESS, and 2) turning this awareness into new BEHAVIORS. It may look like therapy or consulting from a distance, though it's a uniquely different animal.
