If you could start a FC channel that appeared in Warpcast, what would it be and why? (And if you don't feel like commenting, please like replies to this cast to show interest.)
I imagine lots of creators would want their own token gated channel
Someone mentioned this but a workout/fitness channel could be cool for accountability reasons while also not blowing up the main TL Classical Music for selfish reasons
Personally would love a channel for developing with AI/GPT, can share notes & ask questions, 1 click away from sharing product ideas in the main feed versus copy/pasting something from a Telegram, easier to find than a group chat & would likely be more open/fun conversations regarding building applications
sports—seasonality makes it ok to be all-encompassing for now imo music, memes, cats
Current Location channels. It would default to whatever your current location is but you could search others.
Fitness/wellness - would love to learn about everyone's habits/hacks, etc. Gaming - Similar to Books and Movies/TVs, talk about games we're playing. Maybe find people to play with coop, guilds, etc.
Puns/jokes channel because mine don’t get likes and I refuse to accept they’re not hilarious
"Stupid noob developer questions", where you can ask a question on a tech you're unfamiliar with and folks can chime in with help. Like StackOverflow, but without marking things as duplicate.
health channel (sleep, nutrition, exercise, mental well being)
Why not allow anyone to create their own which people can subscribe to it and have it appear in their FC channels. Purple can decide a (rotating) set of featured ones that appear at the top of everyone’s FC after the channels you’ve subscribed to.
A channel for deep-dive discussions on “public finance" - especially web3-native funding options and business models for chronically underfunded labor (e.g., art, media industry, open source projects, etc.)
A channel dedicated to Hats Protocol ecosystem building. Why? Top-of-funnel knowledge building, connecting builders and might-be contributors, triage to more intimate comms channels (eg TG groups), protocol announcements (eg updates, pships, bounties), resource sharing, mitigating ecosystem effort duplication
Ideas for channels: - A channel for real-time general Farcaster/Warpcast feedback. I feel like there are plenty of new users that have shared valuable, honest feedback since the creation of FC.. only for all of it to disappear into the void and forgotten due to lack of visibility

I'd love to see a channel for cryptography or mathematics. Not sure how popular it would be though, but I would frequent it!
Art! I look forward to onboarding a few contemporaries to FC when the time comes
Art 🎨 I look forward to onboarding a few contemporaries when the time is right!
Editional For active users of the defunct Editional app. For now we are in a twitter DM group, I think we need an alternative platform that supports cryptoart exhibit and minting. Some of them are here @abysms @wgmeets @jbrukh @monk @ilannnnnnnnkatin @shortcut @mlibty @frankynines @mikihumo @bardionson @museumofcrypto
Every DAO and subDAO should have their own channel. So should each proposal.
In no order Memes, they’re hilarious. Comic relief. Football (Soccer), I always look for others while watching sports. Technical, always trying to get better and learn. @vm mentioned this, but the best Twitter feed was a mix of reverse chrono and “highlights” in one feed.
one about sports, based on big tournaments/matches happening during the week
Boston sports Digital health Spirituality/Religion/Philosophy Travel Investing
News and current events. Sometimes I want to know what’s going on, other times I just want to enjoy my feed. Having a separate channel would be nice to separate the two!
MOW: Weekly movie recommendations. Feel like a movie club is less demanding than a book club. 🤷♂️ If ya wanna get fancy @ommalik pitched the idea of “automint” for photos. Once a post gets a certain amount of engagement it automagically becomes an NFT
Location Events Shows Podcasts - podcast apps will be able to add social features with no risks and restrictions + ideologically fits with rss feeds
Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet, but a founders channel where you can connect with other founders and ask questions or share advice on building a startup, fundraising, PMF, revenue, etc.
An art channel of course (videos sorely missing), maybe something like Reddit's flair labels could work, and you could pick a few to add to a cast or add to your feeds?
Dynamic creation of groups while making the discovery of them easy would be helpful. Both helpful to have groups but can be difficult to discover
Scale modeling, miniatures painting, gundam, terrain building, etc. needs richer media tools
Airdrop farming Everyone needs their own space, and the rest of us need an easy opt out
channels i'd like to have, and similar subreddits i'm subscribed to: fitness/wellness (r/running, r/jumprope, r/yoga) nba (r/nba, r/nbadiscussion, r/nyknicks) nyc (r/nyc, r/brooklyn, r/asknyc, r/nycbike) food/cooking
A channel about new TV shows, comic books, music tours, new artists and pop culture in general.
- Food: love getting restaurant/recipe recs & looking at pics - Dogs (or Pets): makes me happy to look at pics - Movies/TV: get new recs or talk about ones I like - Travel: get travel tips and enjoy seeing pics - Games: find new videogames - More location based channels: get tips/advice, meet people
“No Stupid Questions” channel. Kind of like dev for dummies with a little more wiggle room. You could call it 101 to keep it short
Channels unique to specific NFT collections. Start with already established projects/communities and roll it into smaller and emerging ones… like my HODLHQ community 💎🙌 *Allow the most active holders of said project on the platform to moderate, if needed.
what about auto tagging posts and showing the trending tags? stay relevant in the current meta I’ve seen surprisingly good tagging in airchat
One for survey submissions and one for baseball https://warpcast.com/ba/0x6ea5f7
Also: a kindness/empathy channel containing casts about being kind, helping others, giving back, contributing to a better world.
Music, bc I have a lot of thoughts about it and has no platform to cast my opinion
every city would be great one events channel that @event could post all future meetups to would be cool AMAs memes
Science/Armchair Physics - it opens people’s brains up to fundamental/first principles thinking Architecture - Pure visual stimulation
Oh, also @survey so we can distribute metrics around the pulse of the people in a central location.
Anime/Otaku Culture - It's a popular topic among online people that aren't super into tech or web3, making it easier to onboard/retain new users - While being separate, there is heavy overlap with NFTs, streaming, and media in general, making it relevant to existing users
I would love to start “Great Books”, but only if “Books” became saturated. For now I like using Books for this purpose
Photography, because I like pretty feeds and a lot of people have great pictures to share!
Anything non-web3. +1 to fitness. But channels shouldn’t get to granular imo. We don’t need everything silo’d. a diverse feed is a good feed. And with info stuck in channels it could be hard to find new and interesting things.
- food (recipes, pics, etc) - writing (interesting long form content) - @paragraph discussion and customer support
A "Per NFT Community" channel or channels. Possibly auto-joined when joining FC based on PFP in wallet, or joined when minting it. With that, one immediately finds a home amongst like-minded fellows.
A dedicated art channel for artists to share and promote their work and recent mints/drops
+1 fitness channel - MATH some builder channels I’d like to see: - rust - ai/ml - solidity - node operators - L2s (starknet, OP, etc)
I don't fully understand how channels work. If I publish a cast directly in the Books channel, do my followers see that cast in their main feed? Or are conversations confined to the channel? If conversations are siloed, I'd worry the number of channels would be inversely proportional to the quality of the main feed.
Photography and/or visual art in general, in an old-school Instagram kinda way (so, no text-only posts unless they’re replies).
I would create a channel for dream exploration technologies and more generally neuroscience technology
'Days of our lives in a post truth world' A channel for challenging misconceptions, Truth telling. Like bro, did we or did we not need the vaccines? I'm torn between various media narratives. Also what was Pfizer's role? Is bill gates really a philanthropist?
it would be The Dapp List as we are a project discovery platform curated and governed by the community. so every week you can discover a bunch of promising and groundbreaking projects curated by the community. also we have few plans to enable Farcaster as a social on user profile :)
„Questions“ or something similar. i feel like many smaller accounts have interesting questions and most are unaswered because no one sees them
Weeb + anime channel, which welcomes fans of any and all, from trash taste to classics
Sports: I follow soccer content on other socials to stay up to date with transfers, team news, analysis, etc. Music: so I can discover random playlists / DJs with mixes from artists I like. Food: Nutrition, recipes
