What's a good book you've read and would recommend that is > 50 years old?
Pretty much all of my favorite books meet this qualification ha Do you have a pref amongst philosophy, literature, and history?
I loved "Business Adventures" by John Brooks. It just sneaks in at 1969, but was one of Buffett's favorites. Brooks basically takes you through 12 case studies that are super varied; you learn a lot & his writing style is great.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (49 years :( ) The Bridge on the Drina The Tree of Man
The Futurological Congress, by Stanisław Lem Surreal, short, hilarious. Hands down, one of the best books I've ever read. Also one of the only books to make me laugh out loud while reading it.
Autobiography of Malcolm X East of Eden Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is 49 y/o so I say that counts too
Not 50 years old but 'Surely you're joking Mr. Feynman' is a blast. Natural History by Pliny is really cool, basically a nearly 2000 year old encyclopedia of sorts.
Cosmos by Sagan came out in 80. Little on the young side, but it's a book I reread often
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys (though you may want to read Jane Eyre first)
The fiction: - HG Wells: War of the Worlds, Time Machine, Invisible Man - Alice in Wonderland - George MacDonald: Princess & Goblin, Princess & Curdie
It’s just under 50 years, but “innovation and entrepreneurship” by Peter Drucker. Then Alice and Wonderland. Check lex Fridmans 2023 reading list
Christopher Moore is my favorite author! If you’ve never read him I suggest starting with Lamb or A Dirty Job
The Time Machine (H.G. Wells) The Great Gatsby (Fitzgerald) The Importance of Being Earnest (Wilde) Anything by Vonnegut especially Slaughterhouse Five or Breakfast of Champions anything by Orwell, especially Animal Farm and Homage to Catalonia
