I appreciate that I have fun here and really do think we’re building the future in our own ways. The attention on your end today is well deserved - the essay is a great addition to the Farcaster scenius canon 🫑

Thanks for reading, Cameron! Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate all the "scenius labor" you do every day. πŸ’œ

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this with my coffee this morning (the dogs had to wait!). I resonate with it all, and think this especially is the nut to crack: "Make unseen labor (including "scenius labor") visible, and help contextualize it."

Feel it πŸ’« One thing I love about farcaster as a scenius is how geographically dispersed everyone is. Many scenes of the past had a physical center of gravity.

Grateful that you ventured out of that comfort zone! In my mind you've already contributed something valuable to the FC scenius by posting this. Looking forward to following what's next on your journey.

Thinking about scenius: - surprised how much it has resonated with others. I didn’t expect it. - incredible to see people like @galazio @danicaswanson and others answer the call, especially when it feels out of the comfort zone ✨✨ - we are the lucky ones

What a beautiful post. Loved reading your onboarding story. Subscribed! I agree about the culture of kindness and creatives-supporting-creatives atmosphere here. Excited to have you here amidst this burgeoning scenius. Please keep writing and publishing!

New essay in which I: - introduce myself and Forms of Incubation, my new project - explain why I’m leaving Substack - say nice things about @farcaster, @paragraph, and @zora - link to a lot of casters (this IS a scenius...) https://paragraph.xyz/@danicaswanson/scenius-incubation-open-source-creative-processes

c'est la vie, and I deeply appreciate the invitation and effort you went to πŸ––. Yours was the first high intensity intellect and engagement within this beautiful Farcaster garden that shone a light on what a scenius this scene here really is.

πŸ’œ Always appreciate your encouragement. It's rare that I have an extended stretch of time to focus on intrinsically motivated creative work. I've never been lucky enough to stumble into a scenius before either. Don't know what to expect. We'll see where this leads...

Just realized this cast is being watched, which gave me an idea to build scenius work habits & turn this into a thread of mini-updates as I work. Quick intro: Forms of Incubation is an extended study of creative incubation and its relational contexts. It integrates material from all my previous Substacks. More soon.

I'm taking extended studio time for an immersive sprint on a writing project (working title: Forms of Incubation). Also leaving Substack & moving most of my nonfiction writing (3 separate Substacks) to @paragraph. Inspired by FC scenius and the @zora mainnet launch. πŸ’œ ⚫ 🟀 🟣 πŸ”΅ πŸ”΄πŸŸ  🟒 🟑 βšͺ

Great work! Exciting to be here on the Solstice amidst the ample talents of the Farcaster "scenius," and now on the Zora Network too. Feels like a pivotal moment.

I think of this essay contest as a form of β€œscenius labor,” as it tapped into collective intelligence (i.e., the FC scenius) to help us find talented writers whose work might otherwise have escaped our attention. So much excellent work gets buried every day; this helped some of it get seen. Nice work, everyone.

Could have just checked your bio πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ . Went there and fell into your re-post of @adrienne's article (saved for later) & the scenius thing which I'd seen but not followed the thread. I'm glad I now have a word to describe it, I'd used 'Renaissance town square' or similar previously. I think its FC's niche.
