New cast composer UX on Warpcast mobile: Preview and Undo - Similar to Twitter, casts now preview what they will look like with the option to Undo - Reminder to add a channel if it's not already in one
Why make Undo the default button? That's what Twitter does and if we change the ordering people who are used to Twitter will complain. This happened when we added the recast button after the like button. Muscle memory is a thing. We may add the ability to disable this screen in the future, but no immediate plans.
"More people see casts in channels" We're starting to ramp up algo boosts for casts and users recommendations for accounts active in channels. Channels are the plan to get people discovered on Farcaster.
This is nice ๐ now I might actually catch those spelling errors in advance
๐ Iโm sorry to say it, but I donโt want it. And I think this feature is also dumb on Twitter.
nice add. i believe x only does this if you're a premium (prev blue) subscriber. it's a nice preview that allows to change any logic or grammar errors, and in this case add a missing channel!
I like it but would much much much prefer the buttons to change order. Default should be cast (and be on the right in dark color), and the undo/ edit button should be secondary (and be on the left in white)
I have the feature and I don't like the default button being undo. That seems weird. Rethink how you can encourage people to cast in channels without making someone second guess sending something at all. Feels like not the right thing.
I think it's not necessary. we can delete the post if we had a typo or change our mind
Something about the massive blank space b/t the content and the buttons feels off to me, especially when it's a text-only cast
I know the focus here is on preview and undue, but seeing the channel select option in the bottom left, Iโd still love the ability to select channels via a slash command as well. Reduces the amount of clicks & keeps things in flow.
I find this to be super slick and clear on an intuitive level; and then when I consider it on an analytical level, I also find quite clever.
Maybe you could post directly but then have an popup banner for undo for the first 30sec kinda like gmail
The extra step should be opt in or opt out via settings. It feels kinda counter-intuitive to use imo
Can we get swipe to go back instead of always having to reach up to click the back arrow
