What is an appropriate response to a strangerâs âHi, how are you?â (e.g. at the super market). I always respond formulaic with âgood, how are you,â but it feels off sometimes.
it's pretty normal to say that and keep walking tbh or you could just say "doing good" and keep walking lol
that works also pretty common: "hey how's it going" "he how's it going" neither party shares how it's actually going
Itâs almost rhetorical but still intended in a polite way. I smile or nod or respond with âgood, thanksâ.
