Growing up, has your perception of the high taxes you pay changed or stayed the same? Given that America was founded over disliking govt :)
Why do the pedestrian stoplight go white and then immediately to red with a counter? It's so confusing.
What is an appropriate response to a stranger‘s „Hi, how are you?“ (e.g. at the super market). I always respond formulaic with „good, how are you,“ but it feels off sometimes.

I meet and see incredible people everyday. This is an irrevocably broken place in many ways, with a broken, arrested psyche. And yet wondrous people survive and sometimes thrive.
Why only 10% of Americans had a passport and traveled abroad until a few years ago (which is still a low figure)?
