like chill, the majority of my family lives there and seem happier than most of my American friends yes the government is far from perfect but ffs relax also I’m hugely biased but so are you!
@saymore — I’m not sure I agree with you (I’m in the biased camp on other side) but I v much appreciate this opinion bc: 1. I know you genuinely mean it 2. You have context many don’t have 3. It challenges what could be groupthink Perfect opp for my first “saymore”!

You should read that one book 1984 while you’re there and share your perspectives on a trip when you come back
Does this count as 0.5 or $1? If farcaster had token curation would you switch or double up?
I think this is an underrated point. Have traveled all over and one thing I think about a lot - most people are leaving decent lives not absorbed in political drama. Though the US seems to be leading the way to turn all of life into a never ending info war
People are pretty critical of the us here too and I think they should be of both. Honestly think Chinese citizens should feel the pressure and enact change. Wayyy too much apathy towards China’s atrocities imho
“The government is far from perfect” is an extremely kind way of putting it.
The response of the community here likely comes from how disconcertingly reminiscent this statement is of “Pinochet did nothing wrong.”
