When tagging a user in a cast and typing in the exact username it does not tag them unless you click on the name in the drop down. kind of annoying to have to grab the mouse and select the name, not the end of the world or anything but reducing clicks is so nice.
bookmarks, need this to reference items later. Especially when it is more technical and I need time to digest and reread

allow people to opt out of their casts showing on the timeline. good use for !attack-south, DEGEN, etc. instead of tackling things that pop-up one by one open source it.
A time-out style of mute where it mutes for a short time. Maybe 1 week or 1 month
It's pretty small but I have noticed the QR code button is very small. It would be amazing if the touch zone was bigger than the image. Also if you're using Google Lens, the QR codes don't read if they are directly next to something that is a dark color. I just put white rounded padding around to fix.
I think stories or a similar feature would give a real life feel when engaging with other people, maybe this is already built out elsewhere on Farcaster?

Yo dan, very often I end up posting on the wrong channel. I post and I see the channel and realize it's the wrong one then I delete and repost on the right one. A UX problem.
not confusing but i believe is a major issue: i dont even click, happens accidentally when scrolling on posts that have links & it automatically opens in safari in seconds without asking

Store the casts on drafts if you context switch the app on ios. Right now if you switch while in the cast view it gets lost

Bookmark my favourite frames so I can launch the website from warpcast. In fact some frames just provide you with useful info. You often want to see their content without really wanting to “cast” them. A frame store would be cool that shows you the default view of the frame tied to your account.
when I'm casting, and I search for a channel to post and then tap that channel, the keyboard goes away and I cast and turns out the channel wasn't selected, so I have to delete the post and cast again. Sometimes three times because I move fast bro.

I don't know what the "Cast now" timer is doing and I don't know why I should / should not press it or why I have to look at it. As BD of this feature I would just hide it. I don't care if people aren't seeing my cast for ~10s after I posted.

I would focus on improving the user interface for better usability and introduce customizable notifications to enhance the overall user experience on Warpcast.
I don’t love the replies being collapsed. Might be okay for really popular users. But even my account with 10k followers. I want to see the 10 or so replies I might get on a day. I know I can click in. And I do. But I’m sure I miss some. Plus I shouldn’t have to click.
Improve stability. Too many "something went wrong, try again" alerts.
Not an annoyance, but I believe being able to cast simultaneously to two to three channels would be a great feature!
I would create an Anti Spam protocol (something like DEGEN). Everyone gets to have a $POLICE token allowance. A safety DB is constructed based on the votes and reputation of reports. Frames get included to avoid phishing scams. We could even do staking as a safety for frames. If the frame rugs, that stake pays.
Do away with pin posts. That's just another gatekeeping method to keep the channel owners at the top where they can be seen, and anyone lower than them at the bottom. Yes it's exclusionary and not what community is about and I see it being abused as a shill spot. It's a terrible system for a community. 🫵🏽
It's completely annoying that someone can own a channel and then show their own work above everyone else effectively making a public channel their own private shill spot. You can't just pin your friend's post to the top who's having a drop. That's just favoritism. It's only going to drive me away from these rooms.

Convert direct casts to XMTP instead of building it in-house. I want a future where crypto messaging exists on a single ubiquitous protocol; currently on path to fracture crypto messaging across several protocols and just replay web2 messaging silos with public/private key pairs

As a host: minor mod improvements: - show hide/warn counts on users - if you mute someone, still show their casts in channels you host - if a cast gets hidden, remove it from my notifs As a user: mute channels

Shift the swipe from edge of screen to go back behavior to match twitter. On Warpcast currently need to swipe from closer to the edge of the screen to trigger the interaction. My thumbs are too used to twitter to get used to the slightly different swipe behavior
Discoverability/pinning/resurfacing of frames is still really challenging . I have a hard time finding past casted frames. That would be the #1 unlock for frame devs.
Minor ones: - pinning DCs - mark as unread - responses from people I don’t follow get lost to the abyss. Maybe a setting there?

Not really a pain point as such but it seems to me that Warpcast is a few features away from being a credible Discord challenger. Token gated channels and the ability to create sub channels and assign roles within each channel could do it.

Id love to be able to save casts for later (favourite/bookmark) Furthermore I’ve seen someone building a frame that allowed you to reply to random casts with no interaction so far. This should be a standard feature in Warpcast. Or I could safe the cast as a bookmark :)
