one of my contrarian parent takes is I don’t track my kids. 
And I’m shocked I even have to say it’s contrarian but seems like the norm is to track

what if parent is anti queer or racial or whatever — and u keep adding some friends like that.  my dad thought Motley Crue Shout at the Devil was “satanic”. same w dungeons and dragons! jfc

I hear you. Three downsides of 'tracking' in my view   - sends message that a)I don't trust you b)you cant' make decisions your self and c)the world is very very scary and people are out to get you!  Growing up fearful is I think part of the anxiety peak we're seeing now.
