gm, coffee lovers what is your favorite coffee grinder? i've tried a lot, but my current best under $300 is Baratza Encore. this is one of the bestsellers in Japan too, OEMed by Melitta as VARIO-E

I've been using a Eureka Mignon filtro for a couple of years and it's good. I don't think it necessarily beats a Baratza though.

If you don't mind hand grinders, I've really liked the 1Zpresso JX.

Also loving the baratza encore. For espresso, I have a niche zero. Admittedly, I haven't tried other grinders for that granularity, though.

Can confirm the encore is excellent over time. Been using one for about 5 years now. Replaced the grind gear once and their customer service was very helpful troubleshooting. Was easy to self-service.

Yes... excellent grinder. What's more, all of the components are fixable. Meaning you can DIY or send it back. More products need to be made for the long run like this.

I used loads of types, & eventually realised that the $15k grinder at my local roasters won hands down. Now I just get a kg of good beans ground to spec on their machine, & that'll last me a few weeks. 3wk old pre ground by them (good qual roasted beans) still tastes better than the same beans ground by me pre brew!

Here’s what I’ve tried: - Breville Smart Grinder, pretty wonderful for espresso I found - DeLonghi KG79, cheap but not great - Fellow Ode, my current grinder, I’m using it for filter and pourover and love it. Best home grinder I’ve seen for a range of grind settings but not sure how it does w/ espresso.

the Encore is the goat of grinders, I believe you can't go wrong with it or Baratza A few years ago upgraded to the Vario which is also quite excellent though $$$$ Lately, have been using the Comandante which is a hand grinder but is exceptional https://www.comandantegrinder.com/

If you’re doing the espresso, the niche zero is also a nice go to. I usually hand grind with a flair pro 2 since I’m always on the go

Eureka Zenith 65. >$1k, but it has an odometer that tells me I ground 6k double cups already, which I interpret as money saved 😂
