Strava is my Friends Who Are Champions app. Private wise Garmin Connect is informative for routine runs.

Anything that allows for an export to a portable file format since apps come and go but text files live forever

Apple Watch with Fitness+ for me. Great selection of strength and cardio plus a ux that can’t be beat.

I think Strong is the best Pareto answer. You can put more work into others, but Strong is easily 80th percentile without much work + has CSV export.

What is the need to track workouts? Having a schedule and sticking to it should be sufficient no?

When I do weights, I follow the 5x5 program so have used the StrongLifts app for almost a decade. It’s gotten better and better over the years. It is perfectly suited for that program but allows for customized workout tracking now if I wanted to. Seeing a lot of love for Strong here so I’ll check it out.

Fitbod for sure if you’re more into weight training. it will use ML to recommend workouts and different volumes based on fatigue inference with HealthKit data — if you go for a run it won’t recommend hamstrings.

Always hated data entry for workouts, never found a good one. Now I use ChatGPT with voice to text and have it spit back formatted text. I scroll up and effectively just use the chat history as the data store. It works pretty well honestly.

I used hevy to create the program, the screenshot and pull it up when I workout (in case I forget)
