My wife gave birth to my 3rd son last Friday, he's been in the NICU since Friday night on breathing equipment. I'm exhausted, uncertain, scared, and the hopeful excitement I had leading up to his arrival is replaced with an uncomfortable pain. I just needed to share these feelings somewhere, FC feels like a safe space.

I hope everything will end up well and that will be always remembered as a bad moment followed by joy. If it could help, my mother was not allowed to see me for a week after I was born. 45 years later she still tells the story every time it's my birthday, but I'm here in good shape and made her a grandmother of two.
That’s awful sorry to hear that. Our daughter ended up in NICU for 3 days, worst days of my life waiting to find out what was going to happen. I hope he gets to leave the icu soon 🙏

Congrats on your son's birth, Josh. My wife's life was in peril after our son was born, and so I empathize with these feelings in the hospital, post-delivery. I'll pray for him/you all. May everything work out.
