Seed oil wars part infinity have kicked off 1. Huberman says he’s going to cover seed oil 2. Layne Norton taps in with evidence that shows seed oils are health promoting in some contexts 3. Layne starts rabidly fighting hardcore seed oil disrespecters who can’t handle the idea of anything good said of their demon

Here’s a good starting point. I tend to side with Layne, simply because many of the people pushing back against him sell or otherwise profit from anti seed oil views. He’s not saying they are without harms https://x.com/biolayne/status/1704477570417254530

Seed oils seem to cause inflammation for me. I (oddly) developed some food allergies recently (Covid-related?) and for a time kept a food diary to identify the causes. Although not an allergy, I noticed a pattern with seed oils making me feel like shit. Went online and discovered this is a third rail issue lol

I suspect that the bad effects of seed oils is mainly due to them being used to deep fry food (very high temps and continuous reuse). This is a conjecture, I've not done the research.

From my person anecdotes I can say I notice almost no difference when I do or don’t have oil from a specific source. What I notice is when I snack or not which mostly have the oils in question but there are also snacks with “good oils” and they still feel like shit. Food chemistry is so complex
