👆👆this is a non-obvious thing that a lot of people do not realize It’s not bad or good, it just is, and people who don’t know this tend to get hurt badly 😔
bristle at this a bit as 'a system that functionally can protect sexual predators' is bad actually but in general yes was told once about a situation where a male superior put his hands on a woman's thigh, she reported to HR, and the next week she was fired for 'culture fit issues'
thanks @ivy and @adrienne for this reminder i remember the first time i heard about this was from my therapist; after my psychiatrist diagnosed me, they mentioned 'no matter how good your manager is or the hr is, they are not there for you and if you mention your diagnosis to them, its just giving them ammo'
