Crowdsourcing wallet research: what was the first wallet you used, what’s your favorite in terms of UX, and what’s the one you use the most frequently?
1 Metamask 2 Rainbow 3 Metamask I'm a Linux user so we have less options.
For me it’s metamask, zerion, rainbow. I just downloaded zerion as part of this research and it absolutely slaps.
First wallet was circle back in 2015 or so. I’ve used a bunch (MetaMask, coinbase, rainbow, trust, phantom, and others I’ve forgotten) since. I like coinbase because it’s fast, shows everything on the NFT side including offers, and the browser is good. Also the minting experience is always solid.
MetaMask was first. Rainbow UX feels more human. I use MetaMask for signing and Rainbow for viewing.
I'm a big fan of frame wallet these days. It runs as a separate application rather than a browser extension and is much less clunky with hardware wallets in my experience - https://frame.sh/ Rainbow for mobile is great too.
