true story. but in our case: 1. there are some bugs with elliptic which ethers 5.7 which make me uneasy (v6 uses noble) 2. we have a pretty thorough test suite for ethers, and so verifying that nothing has broken is a lot easier for us more details here: https://github.com/farcasterxyz/hubble/pull/670
