"Log in as any Ethereum address..." imo any app with an ethereum blockchain account should have this as part of onboarding or marketing page.

I've always been curious to know the history of the "connect" UX in Metamask. Was it the first to do it, or did it originate somewhere else? I wonder if there is any regret for that decision, or do the creators to this day think it is/was the best choice and if not what they would have done different? cc: @danfinlay

I remember early dapps letting you simply paste any address you wanted, and explore from that point of view. It was a surprise to me we moved away from that.
