The Peripheral is pretty great. Love Slow Horses if you like slower spy stuff too.

If you’re open to a little antichrist horror, Midnight Mass might work for you. Also The Peripheral was great, bit of a slow burn in the middle then accelerated at the end.

The Big Sleep with Bogey and Bacall. Classic. The story is pretty salacious and had to be told while dancing around the Hayes Code. Plus they filmed it at the end of the war so it’s one of the first pictures where women are show doing jobs outside of the home.

Best thriller recently aside from the White Lotus series.. The only one we can shout into the void with pure conviction: Uncut Gems Yes, it’s a few years old but we challenge anyone to name any superior thriller that has dropped in the meantime.

It won’t count as a thriller or mystery but yesterday I watched The Departed on AMC for the first time in years. So good.
