Looking to live vicariously: best we (for you) video game youβve played in the last 3 months?
Itβs been Vampire Survivors because it matches my available free time to play games (20m at a time or so)
Dyson Sphere Program You start out having arrived on a random planet in a remote sector of space, start building factories, and ultimately build the infrastructure to extract all the energy from the sector to send back home.
The Marvel's guardians of the galaxy game had a really solid narrative. I highly reccomend it.
https://www.play-season.com/ This game just came out but itβs been on my list for months !
A few people have suggested Cyberpunk and Iβd agree. A second would be Gran Turismo.
Cooperatively playing It Takes Two with my wife was a blast (sheβs not normally a gamer and really enjoyed it)
My kids have been playing Valorent and I gave it a spin. It is a challenging FPS.
Currently been digging Overwatch 2, I think a lot of online matchmaking games are bad rn but been surprised by how addictive OW2 is. Not perfect but certainly better than a lot else lately
Zero Sievert: low poly top down extraction shooter. In the spirit of STALKER. Has slight nethack vibes because you really have to explore the world to figure out how the game world works. I dumped 30 hrs into it the other week after no vid games for years. Bite sized missions compatible with home responsibilities.
Modern: Triangle Strategy Classic: Super Metroid/EVO Recently modded my SNES Classic, highly recommended lol
Not a hardcore gamer, but playing some Stardew Valley lately. Quite relaxing and at the same time, the story of the maker is really inspiring. https://www.gq.com/story/stardew-valley-eric-barone-profile
Had some free time during the holiday season and played some Quake 4 & Halo 4. Those games might be old but they are super fun!
Dead Cells & Hades Also Dan not to distract you from working on Farcaster but I feel like you would enjoy this game called Blasphemous -- heavy on the Catholic/gothic themes/imagery & art design is fantastic
- Elden ring if you want a super challenging but awesome open world RPG - unravel two if you want a unique puzzle game
been replaying Zelda Breath of the Wild on Switch to prep for new Zelda game release in May. such an epic game!
Completely biased⦠Derby - Baseball VR! Would love to have you in the beta if you have a Quest 2! https://www.oculus.com/experiences/app/5981971501867491/?utm_source=oculus&utm_medium=share
