AI stuff I find more interesting to think about than AGI safety

I just want AI with credible neutrality, if such thing is possible, if we all become clips at the end of that we'll know it was an evolutionary technological chokepoint and not lame human greed missusing AI.

2. More time spent with AI curated algorithms

Some ideas on 4: - taxes / financial planning - entertainment (to point #1) - services — more adoption of upper-class things like tutoring, therapists, personal trainers, exec coaches. will increase consumption vs proving deflationary though

I think about the impact on gaming and entertainment a lot. Not just in terms of content generation but on the mechanics themselves.

A twist to #4. I believe even if we saw deflationary impact with AI over time it’d be quickly redistributed elsewhere Modified Q: What previously unattainable spend emerges as a category amongst average households due to major deflationary impact?

There’s a whole new world of opportunity for indie game developers to leverage narrative driven storylines that can go on forever or create infinite replayability.

There are lots of things more interesting about nuclear power than nonproliferation, but I’m still pretty happy those discussions led to reasonable actions over the past 70 years.

Completely agree with #1, MMORPGs take the longest and are the most expensive games to make since the whole world with locations, characters, and quests need to be "handmade". AI makes almost every aspect of game development easier/better: dynamic quests, concept art, animations, soundtracks, creating assets,...

I was just thinking of #1 today from how fucking cool this can be from my kid's perspective. Imagine being able to effortlessly combine your favorite toys' universes and include your own imagined characters or yourself. Kenny from 2nd grade who said the Hulk couldn't exist with GI Joe's would finally be wrong!

What are your thoughts on (2)? I wonder if actually not a lot changes.. we just spent more time doing things we love - time with family, friends.

What will LLM SEO look like once models like chatgpt are being fed in real time? Will it be completely human centipede mode where the majority of inferencing is generating marketing copy to bias the learning? The answer to every question becomes buy X product. Is this the golden era (google search 10 years ago)?
