As someone who worked in marketing at Apple, I can unequivocally tell you they take privacy as seriously as they claim. It was difficult to target our own customers thanks to those protections. Could be annoying as an employee, but made me an even more hardcore customer.

Totally agree, as a former Apple engineer. They give us so much headache to meet the mandates from privacy team.
