excited to announce STP: the Subscription Token Protocol its an extension of the ERC-721 NFT standard, with a temporal dimension and economic incentives for distribution, adoption, growth, and retention https://blog.withfabric.xyz/stp
we made STP for developers and creators who want to easily earn and manage recurring revenue onchain docs, sdk, audit report, and contract details here: https://docs.withfabric.xyz/stp/overview
Congrats! Will STP help with recurring subscription or will apps/creators need to resell another timeframe when the period ends?
Is there a future where Warpcast uses this for subscriptions? What would be the rationale for or not? Interested in your point of view and @dwr.eth
Question: what happens to the NFT after the subscription time ends? Does it still exist, but becomes useless? When you renew the subscription, does a new NFT get minted, or is the original just updated with new access?
This is sick! Congrats on the launch. Are the contracts published somewhere? Found this broken link in the docs. https://github.com/withfabricxyz/contracts/blob/741a39c08ae2e1b2f539fcc3fed35c233ae9056d/src/subscriptions/SubscriptionTokenV1.sol
How does this compare to Unlock Protocol and it’s recurring memberships? cc @julien51.eth
fokin chad product out there, Always amazed to see the flourishing ecosystem. Ser
Awesome initiative. Hard to build a subscription business on this without autopay, but I think this is a great first step. Perhaps you could delegate funds to an autopay contract, and an off-chain system would execute the function?
much needed! Bookmarked so I dig more in the docs when I have time. Congrats!
nice! how did you tackle the price issue? Can I price my subscription in USD but have users pay in a unique token? Let's say my SUB token is worth $1 today and $5 tomorrow, will new subscribers need to pay 5x tomorrow or will existing subscribers be priced out? have thought a ton about this
