Honestly besides top gun I think most of the best film is now done via limited series or tv shows. Probably have 5x the tv/limited series vs movies.

Tar. Imo the best strong lead character oriented movie in a decade. The best word to describe it is “real”.

Top gun was my favorite too, the thrill is unmatched compared to the any movies that launched this year. Think it is one of the movie one should watch at the cinema.

No F’ing Way;-) Please tell me why? This, I need to investigate. I would have turned it off 20 minutes through but has to watch it all the way through because I was watching it with my sister who is an academy member and has to vote for the Oscars. I found it full of old tropes. My parents did like it though.

Top Gun was so good. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I even only watch it on the plane on the shitty ass screen haha. Need to watch it again but properly this time. Avatar was also good but looooong. Lacked a bit of story but great world building imo

Top Gun was definitely up there. Could be biased, but Avatar 2 was an incredibly well done film and had a very beautiful story.
