The existential problem for Farcaster is daily active users. That's what we're focused on. Everything else is nice to have right now. :)
And now that the protocol is permissionless, people who like the existing community and think a different direction is better can pursue that direction. Case in point: Warpcast doesn't offer web sign ups with crypto today, other clients like @flink do. A large % of sign ups now happen outside of Warpcast.
I respect that. But we are here for the nice to haves, even if they are further down the road :-)

I think less important that how we get new DAUs, is who will be those next DAUs? For example, for Facebook it was new universities => high schoolers => so on. What pool of wallets/people can we dip into for growth?
Allow more warps, allow more invites and make it easier to join. Plz. From what I gather you still need to DM someone on Twitter to join?
imo DAU should be a means, not an end in itself. If you have DAU as the North Star, then that means designing towards addictive behavior and radical content.
Big supporter of what you all are building here. It's interesting to see those metrics and think about DAU's. There might be others like me who want to help and do our small part.
Can you find sponsors that will pay for storage for verified new sign ups? I think they payment at sign up has to be the source of most friction
Build Farcaster into a place to connect people with common interests. The idea is great.
DAU is a lagging indicator. Danger is that you could end up optimising for something that you don't want, e.g. a highly active but toxic culture.
I think the FC economy could play an important role here. What benefit farcaster can offer for users: earning money, advertise their brand....when people can see the benefit, they will come. Currently, the main audience here is dev, founder, eth og and Farcaster could be see as a cool place to play around.

The product continues to improve. Engagement here is great and pushes for deeper/better thinking. DAUs will come.
I feel like farcaster is positioned to really streamline crypto adoption and I think in turn that will create farcaster adoption. For example, minting an nft within the context of a social platform and having your wallet also be your social profile makes a ton of sense.
I really hope that our community will grow even stronger. I think you need to integrate more features into warpcast to attract more users, for example, directly integrating crypto wallets into warpcast (like a AA wallet), or other new features to enhance utility <3

UX on farcaster is near perfect, i use now warpcast like everyday , but yes, it need more users.
Loose opinion: any content that deals with the complexity of the protocol should be stuffed into the farcaster channel (a lot already is) I’m a DAU and it’s all too much for me (no time / just want to poast) Where this fails: - you only want crypto ppl - the novelty of the protocol attracts diverse audience

must be a really hard problem to solve. my 2 cents. don't know if the channel's idea is that "good". at first i thought so. today i almost believe users should be able to set up their profile first with wide preferences/intents/focuses and then not much more to do with an app adjusting the timeline for them.
