SF-casters: thinking about renting a convertible for the weekend. I have to drop it off in SF (would’ve done LA). What are the most scenic day/overnight trips I can do?

You can drive to the top of Mount Tam and hike around there. There's no exact address AFAIK, but if you find the Pantoll Campground in Maps, the entrance to the peak is right across the street. It's my favorite view in the whole bay area.

Go down the 280 in the late am there's no traffic, it's amazing

Up 84 to Alice's Restaurant for lunch

Back up to SF on Skyline (or, if you want a longer trip, south on Skyline to Big Basin Redwoods)
