I’ve been thinking about my intentions in life and how I view work I’m stuck between three variables: pay, impact, and intellectual stimulation
What impact would it have to have for you to work pro bono? 💁
Mine are similar: pay, intellectual stimulation, and alignment toward achieving my potential on this planet {which then ideally leads to some sort of impact, ie bettering of something or someone on this planet in any way; spiritual, literal..}
if you want to produce impactful work, you have to move away from the idea of making an impact. it's ego driven and moves your focal point away from others. invert it and you'll find success. speaking from experience.

If it’s 2 out of 3 dilemma, Pay and Intellectual Stimulation. Impact analysis can quickly turn into a blackhole. Impacts are indirect and opaque. Remote Working Apps can have as much environmental impact as a Solar Panel company, for instance!
Might be cool to note the potential time horizon of these all, like deep thought into the further out future. Generational and beyond, med tech seems nicely aligned with that btw. Maybe not pay
