will the need for identify verification increase as ai tool usage grows?

I think the need for signed messages and media will grow and is here today. If I didn’t sign in, don’t assume it was from me.

trusting source reliability (identity) != human dependent. Identity verification is a legal mandate or fraud metric Is that how you mean identity verification?

100% Would love to see purple app devs standardizing how independent verification presents itself to users. Maybe a proposal/contest/bounty for best verification ui affordance.

I think that we will need a way to identify who’s the author of a specific content. And maybe blockchain can help us!

probably if we assume messages between ai and hooman become indistinguishable, would need a way to get over the sybil problem although, and i think this will be a more gated/centralized/hybrid solution than a fully decentarlized one

Yes. Imagine signed sources anyone can verify. Also with increase of deep fake tech we need some sort of verification. E.g. bideo calls you need to sign into. But I think it boils down to having a trustless anonymous id verification for everybody in the first place. But also very complicated regarding censorship..

absolutely; in a world with deepfake capable synthetic intelligences, crypto solutions to identity, zk, & sybil resistance with be critical

For sure. But the real inflection point is when we’re clear on where it does and doesn’t matter if it was AI or a person. AI will be normalised and made a part of our collective narrative. Where it isn’t, identity will be key.

What does identity verification do? What content of yours today isn’t verified?

I believe sibyl resistance is a critical part of the crypto universe expanding. Just like it did on twitter, bots going unchecked will take over and nobody wants that

Yes. Authenticated digital identity will become as important as authenticated physical identity in the future
