I’d be very interested to hear why, the only thing I can think of is maybe a concern over it being promoted by some alarming DAU level did DAU numbers prompt it or was it a general impetus to increase signal / activity?

😬 Surely this is the point of experimenting. People need to save their “rumblings” until after the experiment or feedback on reality as it’s running. I think it’s cool to actively try things.
How long is the experiment running for? Do you have a good way to compare behavior/DAUs of channels with leads vs comparable channels without leads, and on the same channel before and after leads experiment? Do you have an expected outcome you're trying to test against? Are you going to share the results publicly?
A) What’s your plan for progressive decentralization of 1) lead role, 2) selection process for lead role? B) What does sufficient decentralization of the lead role look like to you right now?

imo mods ruin things so I hope they not like reddit mods but experimentation is good so excited to see what happens confused though...if they don't have powers as is, what is special about the position? at this point is it "this is a person who fosters channel discussion but they have no specific powers to do so"?

What role does channel leads serve in the context of making channel creation permission-less? Are there any other roles being considered for channels? In the future, can channel members vote on their representatives? 👀👀
What are the primary concerns that are rumbling? Seems like a good way to experiment & iterate. Only way to figure out what works. And that fact that @cameron is the cat channel lead intrigues me — now I will have to check out that channel.😹

What exactly do leads do? I saw your casts stating they were there to help improve the quality of casts. Is this moderation? How does it work? Are they upvoting/downvoting? Are they moving posts out of channels or rechanneling them?
