the fragmentation point is a very good callout. something @neokry and i have been thinking about is keeping auctions on L1, but governance (props and votes) on L2 and transmit messages between L2 <-> L1 via smth like LayerZero

This sounds good if it works. Since props/voting are typically timed and shorter lived it seems more useful than fully moving everything. Would need dual ownership or something to protect against L2 exploits or outages/failures.
