I am not a fast reader by any metric. I'm just consistent. Every night before bed I read for 30-60 minutes. Sometimes more if I'm not falling asleep. With just 60 min before bed every night I usually finish 30-40 books a year. It helps *immensely* to find books that you enjoy.
I second this. Downside is I basically can’t fall asleep without reading first, but it’s amazing how much you can read without really trying if you read for even a few minutes every night.
You also knock two birds with one stone. No screen time for an hour before bed + something productive to keep you occupied so that you don’t reach for your phone.
