I’m stunned. This is so generous, @we. Sitting here typing and deleting things in response to this

Love the first two; glad you shared! Amor Towles is new to me. What do you like about his writing?

And the orginal cover! Since Warpcast is currently in radio mode, I can’t share the image, but google it. It’s the orange one. As I understand it, Highsmith was known for her psychological thrillers, and didn't want to be known for writing a love story, especially one between two women. Hence "Claire Morgan."

HARD AGREE. It is an excellent love story, so glad you included it here.

But also it's a story about desperation and how helpless we are in the face of love. I can totally relate to the hypervigilance and fear that can get tangled up in very strong feelings, and uncertainty about your place in someone else's life.

Mine is The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith. This quote, for one thing: "I feel I am in love with you...and it should be spring. I want the sun throbbing on my head like chords of music. I think of a sun like Beethoven, a wind like Debussy, and birdcalls like Stravinsky. But the tempo is all mine."

Happy Valentine's Day, book-loving friends! Let's talk love stories, however you define it. What's your favorite? Or if you're bad at favorites (me), what's your most recent favorite?

And SEAL Wargames, a coordinated set of red team exercises to get teams ready for the worst. ALSO free, though there’s a waitlist.

And SEAL 911 for incident response. Some of the most elite security leaders I know on call behind this totally free bot for when things are on fire: https://t.me/seal_911_bot

Very excited for what the launch of the @securityalliance today means for the crypto security community. Only @samczsun could bring together so many (very different, very smart) security leaders and align them for the common good. https://warpcast.com/securityalliance/0xe549ea9e
