I don't think it's just about aesthetics - it's about creating something useful for your user (aesthetically or economically) rather than authoritatively demanding they accept technology that doesn't meet them where they are. tech has gone from creating magic for the world to demanding the world call them magicians.

I think it's about price when magic is already performed. chatgpt was the magical moment, and ever since then, the decel/accel dichotomy has revolved around democratizing the AI market for abundance of competitive choices. as long as there's enough scenius for iteration, this will get cheaper. many such magicians.
