I get the Apple ethos, being a former owner, but tbqh I think a lot of the tech like LLMs or protocols like version control just need to reduce friction. aesthetics is a luxury retrospective to the mechanics that work with max resource constraints (the best part of Apple).

I don't think it's just about aesthetics - it's about creating something useful for your user (aesthetically or economically) rather than authoritatively demanding they accept technology that doesn't meet them where they are.

tech has gone from creating magic for the world to demanding the world call them magicians.
