I’ve never heard of the Flynn effect! Just looked it up. Fascinating. Would be so interesting to be able to understand causes, if warranted. I wonder whether the IQ test itself may not be as suitable

idk, the initial decades of increase are usually attributed to better nutrition and us getting away from contaminants like leaded gasoline the thing that used to make the Flynn effect so confusing was the magnitude, cuz people ofc tried to generate IQ improvements that large manually and failed
