If you look at the previous cast, we ended up fixing a bunch of annoyances on the list.
Gif upload and video for sure. Just getting to parity with twitter
Account cast notifications only come through push notifications, but don’t show on the in-app notification feed. This means I sometimes miss notifications I wanted to see if it doesn’t load the first time clicking the native push notification.
Wish I could pay for signers and storage through Apple Pay, without having to do anything onchain. Would be a major UX unlock.
Spaces (aka voice group call similar to X) could be interesting since we have a very well defined shape of people here
Search casts with filters. Filter by user and/or channel, to start with.
I wish the last cast in a thread wouldn’t tell me there’s more and then allow me to click on the nothing only to reload the same cast

i wish linked content on ios opened in an in-app browser instead of kicking me into safari/other browser app. i just want to dismiss the content when i'm done looking at it and stay in wc. rn i have to close the newly opened tab and switch apps back go wc
On feed / channels pages: - hover on an avatar shows profile preview popover with info such as bio, followers, following count, follow button? On profile page: - click on avatar to view expanded image in popup - cover photos on profiles (nice to have)
productive, benevolent bots should be visually identifiable. other preexisting channels should also show prestige, but idk the angle that's best, just think that curation could be many times better than twitter.
a ‘show all’ control for long exchanges would be nice. having to repeatedly tap ‘show more’ just to see the next cast in the conversation gets tiresome could use long press on some existing ui element to keep the visual surface clean
tiny annoyance but would be nice: copy/paste for image upload
fixing the scroll position when I click back from a cast on web it's always higher than expected and I have to scroll through already seen casts

I’d swap the order of these UX/UI elements and make the “Cast now” button the focused/highlighted one. (Unless there’s a very compelling reason for this choice.)

- ability to tag casts w/ multiple channels - autosuggest channels either in the cast creation or review screen based on the content (using a model) e.g. “Club Chess tonight in Little Italy!” suggests Chess, New York channels (because often times I forget to add channels or casts fit into channels I’m not aware)

Confirm cast timer is a bit too short for long casts. Back-button to top-left sends messages, but imo it should take you back to edit screen without the cast being published.
Make ens-handles stand out compared centralized handles, with a slightly different color or something.

I almost never use suggested follows. It feels like a lot of wasted real estate. maybe replace it with trending channels, or give me a way to do advanced search there.
I'd prioritize them in this order: - GIF Upload - Permissionless channel creation (and follow on spam detection stuff) - Multi-User Accounts - Video As soon as you add video support you're in a world of hurt for future scaling. Leave that to people who want that to be their business, then integrate when it's obvious.

When overflowing names (display/fname,ens) into ellipsis (…) on a narrow screen → currently the date/age of the cast is pushed off screen. The age is useful data, and will be (typically) only 2 to 4 chars Eg.

You should consider rebranding “Watches” to “Bookmarks”. You don’t need to change any functionality, just the name of the button.

I've always been met by silence when bringing this up (the kind of "don't bring this up" silence): I really don't care about algorithms or "top casts" or whatever at all and would appreciate a config setting so that I do not have to click (the small) "Show latest" all the time.
I would jump on the hype train and do direct casts using XMTP.

Lists. I’d prefer to follow only a small number of people every day, but have several large curated lists of people I check up on periodically. Bonus if each list could have both a chronological and a “trending”/algo view. So basically my own private Channels where I choose the members lol

Introduce a ‘Sweden’ channel. Sweden (🇸🇪) did this with twitter where any Swedish citizen could apply to be the account holder for a week. They could use it to respond to questions or to champion their own ideas. Championing the Farcaster. I’d love to see who is in charge of the channel this week!
On the NFT view page, there should be a "cast this NFT" button. Also a "copy as target" that puts "chain://..." in your clipboard. I *frequently* look for this feature, which im surprised yall have not implemented! To me, the NFT view seems pointless without that feature. Major long-time annoyance! example solution:
