so Americans spell grey differently from me. Turns out this is important to know if you're using tailwind, and think you're going insane

The official CSS spec names are with an a, but all modern browsers support the e spelling as well. You could easily extend the tailwind classes in your config to allow you to use the e spelling.

I don't know why but I grew up spelling grey with an e and I mostly still do. I guess I don't run into this problem much since I don't do much frontend work.
