New beta feature on Warpcast iOS: in-app purchases for onchain actions - Managing your Farcaster account require onchain actions—sign up, recovery, storage, +/- signers - From the beginning, Warpcast has been designed to be used without any pre-existing wallet or crypto Head to tiles.cool to test the flow
We will be rolling this out to all onchain Farcaster account actions over the next week or so. Android coming soon. Reminder — you're free to do any onchain Farcaster account actions outside of Warpcast. e.g caststorage.com The power of a user-controlled Farcaster account!
A few other notes - In the example above, @brianjckim.eth is the creator of the app, you're not actually giving his Farcaster account access. We're helping devs get set up with a dedicated Farcaster app account to make that clearer. - Working through some bugs with international currencies and will improve the design
new beta feature that is MAJOR alpha. this is paving the way for on-chain iOS experiences that i hope many other apps, including SPAs, implement as well.
Nice! It seems that I gave permissions to tiles. Is there a place to manage permissions?
Wow, this is really cool and feels like a really big fucking deal. This directly addresses one of the biggest blockers in crypto / web3 which is that for mere mortals, wallets and transacting in general, is just way too fucking convoluted and complicated.
Question: I connected my account but didn’t do in-app purchase. Are these two different things using the same mechanism?
Does Warpcast receive information about the payer? ie does this doxx users to Warpcast?
I need more time to absorb this and dig into the details 😱🤯😫 @nounishprof can we talk about what this means on our streams next week? Using crypto without having a wallet - is it the holy grail of usability and reaching more people?
