How long did it take the mud to dry out and return to regular playa dust? That’s what I’ve always wondered—how such a dry environment can stay muddy for so long. You’d think it would dry out right away.

With no rain, winds and sun, it was mostly dry and safe to drive on within about 10hours. The issue was waiting for continuous dry weather
