Channel Leads We're going to try an experiment for the next 6 weeks. For 20 or so channels, we're going to have a *lead*. I'm going to be working with this group to try to significantly increase quality casts and engagement in their channels. If you're interested in applying: https://forms.gle/LYsuqsofMR24LF3b9
A few things: - Limiting to 20 to start and will be varying certain criteria to test hypotheses. - If the experiment works, we'll have higher conviction on working to get permissionless channels in Warpcast - If the experiment doesn't work, we'll try something else Goal is to increase protocol DAU.
I like this initiative! Sounds like an experiment we can learn a lot from.
Worthwhile to represent each lead role onchain with @hatsprotocol? Would allow for legibility & progressive decentralization. Plus we have a Hat-owned FID concept in the works. Could spec out proof of concept if interested
go on some F1 fan, need a leader for every explanation from "Ferrari Strategy".
this is a good experiment, however, everything i know about community management says this is a bad idea 🥲
What's your appetite for *AI Channel Lead* experiments? Low, Medium, or High?
Could you go more into detail on what these leads will be doing? I would love to see more in depth technical discussions in the EVM channel. I can unofficially help where I can, even if that means just improving my own posts, but the effort should be led by a person not a brand account
> Warpcast plans to deprecate API > Channel data (mapping between parent_url and channel names in Warpcast clients) aren't exposed to public Seems like an important data for the community since this is the canonical channel we all use. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Done dan. Just filled it for the OP Stack channel. Let's see where it goes 😉
is the vision to have people that play a role similar to reddit mods for specific subreddits?
Great idea. Reminds me of the IRC "opers" @. I would love to be one of them when the Español channel xD
fwiw I don’t think the DAO channels need leads. Some have leadership teams; others are truly decentralized. Adding a lead may add complexity on the governance/politics side.
What, if any, increase in permissions does a channel lead have compared to a member?
Here‘s @macbudkowski and my advice on how to run a channel https://warpcast.com/macbudkowski/0x929560
