The active badge is going away. Spammy accounts are aggressively gaming the system to get the badge. Making the rules stricter just makes it harder for legitimate users. We’re past the point where a simple rule based system will work. We need something better.
Introducing the Power Badge, a new ranking system from Warpcast. It uses a PageRank-like approach to recursively find power users who are active and post content that the rest of the network finds interesting. Unlike the active badge, it does not have a set of rules that you can follow to earn the badge.

sir @v i'm not spamming not bot, I never make spam casts, always make my own casts, It's been almost 2 months and I still haven't received the active badge I am very sad but I'm always patient and use warpcast properly

can we get a supersecret algo multiplier for casting into the void for channels which take "a full growing season to harvest" the germination time can be slow... /ag I've continued to cast actively, including in thread form, despite the reality that the engagement there will never match any of the main channels.
It was necessary, of course, not to disclose the criteria for earning the new power badge. Your intention to make this space a platform where spam accounts are sidelined and quality content is appreciated is commendable. Indeed, changing this badge was imperative.
