@ars think this has a bearing on your quest to understand/improve MedTech capital allocation. Capital allocation gets better when one can effectively filter for cases that are non-BS compressions?

Additional speculation re: people that get pitched a case. Their ability to discern a BS vs a non-BS case is dependent on their ability to detect an actual compression (e.g. derived from domain expertise) vs a pseudo-compression (e.g. leans on a timely trend alone). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_Bullshit

It’s okay. I’m not really an ADD-like individual so it doesn’t hit hard, but it has affirmed that a kernel of metta in one’s self and relationships goes a long way. https://tasshin.com/blog/practicing-love/

It does. ~20 years since publish date, so not sure how it will have aged given recent happenings with AI and cognition though.

😂 increasingly looking like I’ll end up digging into your becoming data-driven series. Related: been reading about effectuation (theory of entrepreneurial expertise) and wondering whether 0th step vs steps 1-4 are what separate entrepreneurship and professional management. https://effectuation.org/effectuation-101

Training log, gi: worked on the reverse pass from half guard and some progressions to side control, mount etc. Sparring was last session prior to a weekend comp, so tried to up intensity and push pace whilst remaining precise/efficient. That was, uh, hard.
