Love it. Excited to watch the recording of your talk. I agree that FC is a scenius, and I've saved some quotes from your essay for future use. ;) I first heard about scenius in a talk on UBI from Brian Eno (big fan of ambient music), and it's great to see the concept proliferating in this context. Excellent work. 💜

I returned from my trip to Boston fully energized, despite my lack of sleep. Farcaster, Purple, the community is just built different. Thank you all for a great time and for being part of the scenius. @dwr - I didn't say hi since your time was a scarce resource and I focused on the rest of the community. Next time.

The main points of my short talk: -how to recognize a scenius -no one is in charge, don't expect to get permission or an invitation to participate -if you are lucky enough to find a scenius, you must contribute! It doesn't matter your skill. Find a way - if you can't code, blog and cast! @ccarella
Such a good rabbit hole. I could only make the connection because I learned about scenius a few years ago from another community I'm involved with. The organizer talks about scenius in every event's opening remarks and it never gets old. My presentation was heavily influenced by his but I think that's OK
I did not see @adrienne’s presentation but I saw the cliff notes on Warp and then went down the rabbit hole of learning about Scenius myself and love that she made this connection.

My thesis is farcaster looks like an exclusive club from the outside. When I joined it did seem like everyone knew each other and was in on the same joke. But in reality I believe farcaster is a scenius, a group of creatives loosely organized around a common purpose and shared values, anyone can contribute.
