I think it came out sometime mid last yr, looksrare built where the owner would see the message when logged in. Love the idea and seems like plenty could be done w it but it's gotta hit me w/o having to login to another site. Maybe marketplace gives me option to enable messages that I could see assoc. w nft

Makes me think of my son selling shit on Fortnite (I think? Minecraft?) rather than a static marketplace they deal direct. (So weird hearing him negotiate with random stranger at 15). Example of how gaming experience will make web3 stuff seem quite normal to them.

Web3 messengers have been around for over a year, with very little traction. Feels like something we want other people to want but not something we would regularly check because why?

Maybe... There is no common communication protocol associated with an ethereum address (or ENS Name). Something has to get Twitter-scale adoption to be the protocol of choice. ENS could accelerate this if when purchasing a name you were forced to configure how you want to be messaged.
